Kellogg Company Recalls Limited Number of Kellogg’s® Eggo® Nutri-Grain® Whole Wheat Waffles Due to Potential Health Risk

Kellogg Company is voluntarily recalling approximately 10,000 cases of Kellogg’s® Eggo® Nutri-Grain® Whole Wheat Waffles because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. General Mills Expands Retail Flour Recall

Due to four new confirmed illnesses, General Mills is adding additional flour production dates to the previously announced U.S. retail flour recall that was originally announced on May 31, 2016. The illnesses reported to health officials continue to be connected with consumers reporting that they ate or handled uncooked dough or ate uncooked batter made with raw flour.

JML Ingredients, Inc. of East Petersburg, PA 

Is recalling IQF Cut Green Beans, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

IQF Cut Green Beans was distributed to manufacturers in "Massachusetts", New York, and Pennsylvania.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall was the result of a routine sampling program by a manufacturer who used the product in their finished product. JML Ingredients has ceased the distribution of the product as FDA and the company continue their investigation as to what caused the problem.
