On July 5 at 12:23 a.m. Officer Sean Casella was patrolling on Boston Road when he observed a blue Chevy Malibu in front of him commit several traffic violations. He stopped the vehicle. The operator showed signs of impairment. He later failed field sobriety tests. Hyram Horne 49, of Brockton was arrested for 2nd offense OUI Liquor and Negligent Operation.
On July 5 at 1:29 a.m. Officer David Diogo stopped a Mazda 626 on Stony Hill Road for equipment violations. Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver, Alexander Cotton 20, from Springfield was Transporting Alcohol and Armando Garay-Vazquez 21, from Springfield was procuring (giving) Alcohol to Minors. Both were summoned to court on the aforementioned charges.
On July 7 at 2:27 a.m. Officer Sean Casella stopped a motor vehicle on Boston Road for an inspection violation. The female operator, Krystal Everhart 28, of West Warren failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for OUI Liquor, Negligent Operation and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon (nunchaku).
On July 7 at 5:48 a.m. The Wilbraham Police received a probation violation warrant for a John Cavers 49, of Wilbraham. Sergeant Edward Lennon and Officer David Diogo responded to his residence and placed him under arrest.
On July 7 at 9:29 p.m. Officers Justin Wall and Thomas Motyka responded to a Grassy Meadow address where a violation of a harassment order took place. K-9 Officer Joseph Brewer and K9 Charon also responded. The dog’s track led to the direction of Ludlow. Ludlow police were advised and found the suspect who was then turned over to the Wilbraham Police Department. Dillon Roulston 20, of Southwick was arrested for Violating the Harassment Order.
On July 9 at 1:58 a.m. Officer Sean Casella stopped a motor vehicle on Boston Road because of a marked lanes violation. The driver, Pedro Almeida 33, of Ludlow showed signs of alcohol impairment. He failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for OUI Liquor and Negligent Operation.
On July 9 at 6:21 p.m. Officer James Gagner observed a Dodge Durango failing to stay within its lane on Springfield St. The vehicle was stopped. The driver showed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests. Michael Boutin 52, of Springfield was arrested for OUI Liquor and Negligent Operation.
On July 9 at 05:55am, Sgt Baldwin observed a tan Audi operating west on Boston Rd. Sgt Baldwin identified the operator as Charles Luvera 36 of Wilbraham. Sgt Baldwin was aware that Mr Luvera had a revoked driver’s license for being a habitual traffic offender. Sgt Baldwin subsequently stopped the vehicle and Mr Luvera was placed under arrest for operating after revocation of driver’s license subsequent offense.
