07/20/14 the Wilbraham Police Department identified the operator of the vehicle
which struck a pedestrian near 104
Springfield Street in Wilbraham on 07/19/14.
A
27 year old male from Monson contacted the Wilbraham Police Department on
07/20/14. The male subsequently gave a statement to the police. The male was
cited for Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Crash and Negligent Operation
of a Motor Vehicle.

Pedestrian
Hit and Run with Injuries Crash
On
Saturday 07/19/14 at approximately 10:45pm, the Wilbraham Police and Fire
Departments responded to a report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a
vehicle in the area of 104
Springfield Street in Wilbraham.
Responders
located a 27 year-old male pedestrian with significant lower extremity injuries.
The victim was transported to a hospital by Wilbraham Fire Department ambulance
with non-life threatening injuries.
The
involved vehicle did not stop after the crash. A description of the vehicle was
not immediately available. The crash is being investigated by Wilbraham Police
Officer Justin Wall. Anyone with information is requested to contact the
Wilbraham Police Department.
