Some Recent Arrests

On September 16 Detective Rudinski obtained an arrest warrant for Angela Bigos, 36, Homeless. Detective Rudinski conducted a 5 month investigation regarding the larceny from numerous relatives in excess of $250,000.00. At this time, Ms Bigos is being charged in one of those cases for a larceny of over $113,000.00. Ms Bigos used an elaborate scheme advising relatives of a fatal illness to obtain money, utilized fake documents, and promised repayment. Future charges are expected.

On September 21 at 3:10 a.m. Officer David Diogo and Christopher Arventos responded to a breaking and entering in progress on Weston St.  The residence was checked with negative results but the suspect was later found hiding behind a car.  Officer Diogo placed Roberto Galvin 43, of Wilbraham under arrest for Unarmed Burglary and Possession of Cocaine. 

On September 21 at 6:28 a.m. Officer Brent Noyes was dispatched to Hitchcock Road for a report of smashing bottles. Officer David Diogo assisted. A running motor vehicle was found on Manor Road with three occupants. The three denied smashing bottles.  While investigating, the officers found that the operator showed signs of intoxication.  Stephen Chicoine 24, of Springfield was placed under arrest for OUI Alcohol.

On September 21 at 9:11 a.m. Officer David Diogo did a motor vehicle records check of a vehicle driving by which showed the vehicle had a revoked registration. This was due to an insurance cancellation. The registered owner also had a warrant for his arrest.  Steven Williams 26, of Ludlow was placed under arrest for the warrant and also charged with the motor vehicle violations.

On September 22 at 2:20 a.m. Officer Davis Diogo observed a speeding motorcycle on Springfield St.  He stopped the motorcycle for the speed violation. The operator showed signs of alcohol impairment. After further investigation including field sobriety tests, William Fisk 48, of Springfield was arrested for OUI/ Liquor, 2nd offense and Negligent Operation. He was also cited with motor vehicle violations.

On September 25 at 1:12 a.m. Officer Alderico Florindo stopped a vehicle on Boston Road for operating without license plates. A record check of the operator showed that he had a warrant for his arrest. When the operator gave permission to the passenger to drive his car, her record check also showed a warrant for her arrest. Eric Ramos 32, of Pennsylvania and Marilyn Cabral 28, of Springfield were both arrested for their outstanding warrants.

On September 29 at 9:08 p.m. Detective Michael Cygan, Officer Justin Wall and Thomas Motyka responded to the area of Stony Hill Road and Devonshire Drive for a motor vehicle accident. It was a one car crash, where the vehicle went off the road and struck a wire to a telephone pole. The operator showed signs of intoxication. Zackary Joubert 24, of Springfield was arrested for OUI Liquor and Negligent Operation.

On October 1 at 12:50 a.m. Officers Sean Casella and Christopher Arventos responded to a Pearl Lane address originally for a medical emergency. They were cleared by the Wilbraham Fire Department and then called back because a 64 year old male son pushed his 93 year old mother and was arrested for Assault/ Battery on a person 60 .

On October 1 at 5:42 p.m. Officers Joseph Brewer and James Gagner responded to the Big Y for a reported shoplift. It was reported that a suspect put over $70 of food items in a freezer bag and attempted to leave without paying for the aforementioned items. George Brown 81, of Wilbraham was summoned to court for the Shoplift.

On October 1 at 11:34 p.m. Officers Justin Wall and Alderico Florindo responded to the Manchonis Road area after two residents called about people yelling and screaming outside.  Another caller further stated there was a man walking down the street with a possible knife behind his back.  It was later found that the weapon was a metal pipe. James Brown 47, of Wilbraham was arrested for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon while Disturbing the Peace
