On January 24 at 2:10 a.m. Officer Sean Casella stopped a black Jeep after it failed to stay within its marked lane. The operator, Kelsey Buxton, 24 of Boston showed signs of alcohol impairment, failed field sobriety tests and subsequently was placed under arrest for OUI Liquor and Negligent Operation. She was also cited for minor traffic violations.
On January 25 at 1:30 a.m. Officer Sean Casella responded to Main St for a call to a home that was possibly hosting an underage drinking party. Upon his arrival Officer Casella observed youths running in the house from the porch and an unknown male assault a female. Thomas Collins 18, of Longmeadow was arrested for Assault and Battery as well as Minor in Possession of Alcohol. Nichole Tranghese 18, of Wilbraham was criminally charged with Keeping a Disorderly House, Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Procuring Alcohol to Persons under 21.
On January 25 at 6:22 p.m. Officer James Gagner responded to Big Y for a disorderly person in the bakery section. This person was creating a scene yelling and assaulting a store manager after taking food without paying. Officer Gagner observed the subject pushing a Wal Mart cart yelling profanities. The subject refused to listen to the officer’s request to talk and created a traffic problem by walking in front of cars attempting to park. Randall Lepore 50, of Ludlow was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing the Peace, Assaulting a Police Officer and Resisting Arrest.
On January 27 at 4:42 p.m. Detective Michael Cygan and Officer Justin Wall responded to Nokomis Road for a reported disturbance via 911. It was a mother vs. daughter domestic incident where the mother was arrested for Domestic Assault and Battery and Intimidation of a Witness.
On January 28 at 12:25 a.m. Officer Alderico Florindo located a debris field of a front car bumper with license plate still attached on Maynard Road. Officer Florindo found the crash scene along with a damaged fence. The registered owner, Rufus Flynt of Palmer was called and admitted crashing in the area and will be charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash and Negligent Operation.
On January 29 at 9:09 p.m. Wilbraham Officers Justin Wall, Sergeant Glen Clark and Captain Robert Zollo as well as the Wilbraham Fire Department responded to the wooded area east of the Cedar Ridge Condos for a reported snowmobile crash. The male, 52 year old Wilbraham resident, suffered non life threatening injuries, and was transported to the hospital. The Environmental Police will be completing the investigation.
