On 02/01/15 at approximately 2030hrs, Ofc David Diogo was patrolling the O'Connell's Shell Station on Boston Rd. Upon patrolling the area, he observed a black Toyota Avalon with three occupants. The occupants of the vehicle were acting suspiciously, and the registration of the vehicle was checked by Ofc Diogo. The check revealed that the plates on the vehicle belonged to another vehicle from Palmer. The vehicle left the gas station, and Ofc Diogo attempted to effect a traffic stop on Boston Rd. The vehicle failed to stop for Ofc Diogo and continued into Springfield. Springfield PD assisted Ofc Diogo and the vehicle was subsequently stopped on Worcester St in Springfield.
DONALD MENDENHALL 18 of Springfield was subsequently arrested for Failing to Stop For Police, Operating with a Suspended License, Uninsured MV, Concealing ID of MV, & Negligent Operation of MV. A juvenile female from Willbraham and an adult male party from Springfield were also inside the vehicle, however, are not being charged with any crimes.
