Some Recent Arrests

On April 13 at 10:17 a.m. a 17 year old female wanted for domestic charges turned herself in at the Wilbraham Police Department.


On April 15 at 6:57 p.m. Wilbraham Dispatch received a 911 call by a woman who stated she was assaulted by a man known to her who wanted her prescriptions. Marcus A. Lee, 43, of Springfield will be charged with Unarmed Assault to Rob, Assault and Battery and Malicious Destruction of Property. Officer Justin Wall and Christian Letendre were the investigating officers.


On April 16 at 4:49 p.m. a male resident came to the Wilbraham Police Department and reported to Sergeant Glen Clark that his ex-wife violated a restraining order. She used a third party to communicate with her ex-husband.  The 55 year old resident of Springfield was arrested by Springfield and transferred to Wilbraham.



On April 19 at 12:09 a.m. Officer Sean Casella was on patrol and stopped a motor vehicle for equipment violations. While identifying the passenger for not wearing her seatbelt the officer found that Emily Chang 19, of Pennsylvania was in possession of a fake id (Connecticut license) and summoned to court.


On April 21 at 11:50 p.m. Officer Christopher Arventos was on patrol on Boston Road and did a record check of a vehicle driving by.  The result of the license plate check showed that the registered owner had a warrant for her arrest. Angela Brown 47, of Springfield was placed under arrest for the warrant.


On April 22 at 1:04 a.m. Officer Sean Casella observed a red Honda Accord that was in and out of its lane on Boston Road. The vehicle was stopped and as soon as the officer spoke to the driver he noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from his breath. Field sobriety tests were done and shortly afterwards, Quy Tran 29 of East Hartford was placed under arrest for OUI Liquor and Negligent Operation.


On April 23 at 11:47 a.m. Sergeant Daniel Carr stopped a vehicle on Stony Hill Road for an inspection violation.  Further record checks showed the operator, Gilbert Godbout 51 of Ludlow was operating on a suspended license and had a warrant for failure to attend jury duty. He was arrested without incident.


On April 24 at 12:06 p.m. Sergeant Glen Clark responded to the area of Home Depot for a report of a suspicious vehicle. A check on one of the occupant’s identity revealed a warrant from Northampton.  Kenneth Robbins 51, of Indian Orchard was arrested and right after booking was transferred to Palmer District Court.


ADDITIONAL:  Sergeant Glen Clark is retiring July 6 after 24 years of dedicated service to the Town of Wilbraham. Sgt. Clark has over 30 years of law enforcement experience. We are celebrating his police career at the Ludlow Elks on June 25 from 5pm-9pm. There will be hors doeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets are $20.00 and available at the police department.

 

Also, there will be an Open House at the police department on May 2 from 10am-2pm. There will be a dispatcher and police officer to give you a tour of the building. Please come out and join us.
