The course taught investigators current investigative techniques that ICAC investigators are utilizing nationwide. The ICAC task force is comprised of State and local investiagtors who specialize in Internet crimes against children. This Task Force Program was created to help Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies enhance their investigative response to offenders who use the Internet, online communication systems, or other computer technology to sexually exploit children. The program is currently composed of 61 regional Task Force agencies across the country and is funded by the United States Office Of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. The Massachusetts State Police is the lead agency for the ICAC Task Force in Massachusetts. The Massachusetts ICAC Task Force also acts as the contact for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) Cybertip line.
